WEIRDEST EVENTS IN HISTORY 3

History is full of bizarre events that we don’t study in school. As is said, “HISTORY IS A GREEK WORD WHICH MEANS LITERALLY JUST INVESTIGATION” -Arnold Toynbee.

1-MURDERED BY A TORTOISE.

Aeschylus, aka ”THE FATHER OF TRAGEDY”, regarded as the first greatest tragedian…. At the age of 67 Aeschylus was killed by a tortoise that was dropped by an eagle on his head.Said that the eagle have mistaken his boldness for a rock to crock the shell of the tortoise so that it could eat the meat.

2-WIVES SELLING.

Divorce between 17——-19th centuries in Britain was hella expensive, in which the lower-class of British people couldn’t afford a divorce, alternatively they sold their wives. It wasn’t technically legal, but as it occurred in public, it was kind of valid in the eyes of many.

3-THE PRIEST HORSE.

The roman emperor Cassius Dio more known as ”CALIGULA” had an insanity admiration for horses…Incitatus was his favorite horse, in which Caligula made him a priest of the emperor’s cult.

So i hope y’all enjoyed it. Don’t forget to share y’all thoughts with us down below// Take Care//

  1. Wow these are the strangest events in history. Especially the “Wives Selling” its a bit impulsive and crazy, who would sell another human being? I am glad I wasn’t born during that era and God knows why those events were there in the first place🤔
