5 OF THE MOST NOTABLE WOMEN IN HISTORY(PART1)

Despite that we live in a horrendous patriarchal world, women had achieved and still achieving many glories. Thus, let’s get inspired from 5 women who had shifted the world substantially.

-1 MARIE CURIE

Marie Sklodowska was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1867. She discovered polonium and radium, Marie was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize, and the first person to obtain the Nobel Prize twice.

-2 ADA HEGERBERG

Hegerberg was born in Sunndalsora Norway in 1995. She’s the first female who obtained ” LE BALON D’OR”.

-3 FATIMA AL FIHRIYA

Was born in 800 A. D in Kairouan, Tunisia. Fatima AL Fihriya founded the first university in the world ” The university of Al -quaraouiyine” in Fez, Morocco.

-4 MAYA ANGELOU

Was born in 1928 in Missouri. Angelou was the first Black African American woman to perform a poem at a presidential inauguration.

-5 Mary Wollstonecraft

Was born in 1759 in LONDON. She authored ”A vindication of the rights of women” a masterly of rationalist feminism, which is the earliest type of feminism advocated equality for women.

  1. All of these women are incredible and did so much to make the world better. I just want to add that Marie Curie also defended Polish independence. Her choice of the name “polonium” for a new element was to celebrate her native Poland.
