#1 I DREAM A WORLD

I dream a world where man
No other man will scorn
Where love will bless the earth
And peace it’s paths adorn
I dream a world where all
Will know sweet freedom’s way
Where greed no longer saps the soul
Nor avarice blights our day
A world i dream where Black or white
Whotever race you be
Will share the bounties of the earth
And every man is free
Where wretchedness will hang it’s head
And joy like a pearl
Attends the needs of all mankind
Of such i dream my world

My opinion
I have many
They are my veil of beauty
Don’t you know

My scars
They decorate me shoulder to toe
Like a marvelous gown
I’m not afraid to let them show

My pride
Adorns me
Like fine jewels
I know my Worth

My strength
It protects me
Like a shoe handcrafted with care
I can go anywhere

Call me queen like it’s my name
I won’t forget to take my claim

I don’t care what they say
Being a woman can look this way
